County Road 40 Reconstruction Project
County Road 40 will be closed in stages to permit the replacement and upsizing of the sanitary sewer main.
Construction is scheduled to take place from June 15, 2026 to November 12, 2026. Traffic disruptions, temporary delays, and lane restrictions should be expected during this period.

Spring thaw and recent rainfall have significantly impacted the Township’s gravel roads, delaying grading operations until conditions improve. Public Works crews will begin repairs as soon as roads are dry enough to ensure safe and effective work.
At its meeting on April 14, 2026, Council adopted the following resolution regarding the proposed Alto High Speed Rail project, outlining key concerns and considerations on behalf of the community.
Due to a truck issue, Waste Connections was unable to complete collection on the following roads this date. Collection has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026 for the following roads.
Please be advised that Albine Street (from Helen St to Keeler St) will be closed to through traffic due to construction until April 24, 2026.
The Township of Asphodel-Norwood Committee of Adjustment will consider a Minor Variance Application (File No. A02-2026) at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the Norwood Town Hall.
