Community Centre, Parks & Facilities Department
The Township of Asphodel-Norwood is seeking responsible, motivated, and team-oriented individuals to join the Community Centre, Parks & Facilities Department for the 2026/27 season.
The following seasonal part-time positions are available:
Community Centre Operator (Winter)
Wage: $19.60 - $25.70 per hour
Hours: 8 - 35 hours per week
The Community Centre Operator is responsible for the maintenance, general upkeep, cleanliness, and sanitation of the Community Centre and surrounding park area. Duties also include providing customer service to facility patrons, assisting with ice bookings and Fitness Centre memberships, opening and closing parks, buildings, and facilities, arming and disarming the security system, and inspecting buildings for health and safety concerns or hazards.

A valid “G” driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract is preferred.
Community Centre Attendant (Winter)
Wage:
$16.60 per hour - Student Minimum Wage
$17.60 per hour - Adult Minimum Wage
Hours: 5 - 24 hours per week
The Community Centre Attendant is responsible for the maintenance, general upkeep, cleanliness, and sanitation of the Community Centre and surrounding park area. Duties also include providing quality customer service to facility patrons, assisting with ice bookings and Fitness Centre memberships, answering questions, and helping address concerns as they arise.

Canteen Operator (Winter)
Wage:
$16.60 per hour - Student Minimum Wage
$17.60 per hour - Adult Minimum Wage
Hours: 5 - 24 hours per week
The Canteen Operator is responsible for the operation of the canteen area at the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre. Duties include preparing and cooking food items, cleaning and stocking the canteen area, handling cash, and providing excellent customer service.

Schedule
Schedules will vary and may include morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
