County Road 40 Reconstruction Project
County Road 40 will be closed in stages to permit the replacement and upsizing of the sanitary sewer main.
Construction is scheduled to take place from June 15, 2026 to November 12, 2026. Traffic disruptions, temporary delays, and lane restrictions should be expected during this period.

The Township wishes to advise residents and businesses of a scheduled water shutdown taking place on Highway 7 on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Residents are advised that the County Road 40 Reconstruction Project (from Wellington Street to Albine Street) is scheduled to begin June 29, 2026, and will require a full road closure for approximately six (6) weeks. The roadway is expected to reopen mid-August, weather permitting.

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood advises that all reduced load restrictions on municipal roads will be lifted for the season effective May 1, 2026.
Please be advised that Albine Street (from Helen St to Keeler Crt) will be closed to through traffic due to construction from April 27 to May 22, 2026 to facilitate the installation of services.
The Township of Asphodel-Norwood has received over $1.1 million in provincial funding to support watermain upgrades along Highway 7. Construction is scheduled to begin in April, with traffic impacts and service notices expected during the project.
Spring thaw and recent rainfall have significantly impacted the Township’s gravel roads, delaying grading operations until conditions improve. Public Works crews will begin repairs as soon as roads are dry enough to ensure safe and effective work.
At its meeting on April 14, 2026, Council adopted the following resolution regarding the proposed Alto High Speed Rail project, outlining key concerns and considerations on behalf of the community.
Due to a truck issue, Waste Connections was unable to complete collection on the following roads this date. Collection has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026 for the following roads.
