Important Dates

First day to file a nomination paper for the offices of Mayor, Councillor, and School Board Trustee.

• Nominations Open
• Once the nomination paper is filed with the Township Clerk, the candidate can begin raising and spending funds, at which point they are provided with a preliminary spending limit.

First day to file a notice of registration as a third-party advertiser.

• A third-party advertiser cannot raise or spend money on their campaign, nor begin advertising, until the Township Clerk certifies their registration.
• Preliminary spending limit provided to third party advertiser upon certification.

Closes at 2:00 p.m.

Deadline for candidates to:

• File a nomination.
• Withdraw a nomination.
• Change office.

Deadline for the Township Clerk to certify candidate nomination papers and declare candidates elected by acclamation.

• Advance Voting Period

• Last day to register as a third-party advertiser.

• Election Day
• Voting is open from 8:30 AM - 8:00 PM

• Declaration of Results

As soon as possible, the Clerk shall declare the results and advise the public.

Inaugural meeting of the 2026-2030 Term of Council.

• Campaign period ends.

Last day for candidates and registered third parties to provide written notice of a deficit and the continuation of their campaign period.

• Filing Date.

By 2:00 PM, last day for candidates and registered third party advertisers to file financial statements and auditor reports.
