Compensation

Salary: $17.60 - $20.95 per hour

Hours & Location

  • Hours: Flexible; approximately 50-60 hours per season

  • Location: Remote work, with on-site attendance required on market days
    (42 Victoria Street, Norwood)

  • Market Schedule: Five (5) annual market events
    (four Saturday markets and one weekday evening market)

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Chief Building Official/Planning Coordinator and the Chair of the Business Advisory Committee, the Community Market Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for all prospective and confirmed vendors. The successful candidate will ensure that all Market Rules and Regulations are followed and will support the promotion and growth of the Community Market.

    Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM; and 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Location: Highway 7 at St. Paul Catholic Elementary School

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Public Works and Environmental Services/or their designate the incumbent is responsible for the safe movement of pedestrians to and from when crossing public roadways and intersections by observing gaps in the traffic and leading the public across the roadway or intersection, during peak times (to and from school).

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood is seeking responsible, motivated, and team-oriented individuals for the Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department for the 2026 season:

Compensation

$16.60 per hour (Student Minimum Wage)

$17.60 per hour (Adult Minimum Wage)

Hours & Location

Weekly hours vary by position, ranging from 30-35 hours per week to 15-20 hours per week. Work schedules and locations will vary and may include morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Manager of Community Centre, Parks & Facilities and the Lead Hand of Parks, Recreation & Facilities, the incumbents are required to work in the field and perform a wide variety of duties as assigned such as lawn maintenance, custodial duties, and general upkeep of Township parks and facilities.

A valid “G” license with a clean driver’s abstract is preferred.
