Road Excavation Work Notice - Asphodel 8th Line commencing May 21, 2026

Please be advised that Public Works crews will be completing road excavations on Asphodel 8th Line between Highway 7 and Centre Line beginning Thursday, May 21, 2026.

The excavation work is required to remove a soft section of roadway that reacts significantly during spring thaw conditions.

Traffic Impacts

During construction, traffic will be reduced to a single lane. Motorists are asked to proceed with caution and yield to oncoming traffic where required.

Crews estimate the work will take approximately 10 days to complete, weather permitting.

Project Information

This work is an important step in the planned roadway improvements for the area and represents the second-last stage before:

• Re-gravelling of the roadway; and
• Application of a double surface treatment.
