Notice of Public Hearing - Minor Variance Application A01-2025

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood Committee of Adjustment will consider a Minor Variance Application (File No. A01-2025) for the property located at 1853 Asphodel 8th Line, Norwood.

Purpose of the Application:
The applicant is seeking relief from the Township’s Zoning By-law 2009-08, as amended, to allow the following:

  1. Reduction of the required front yard setback from 30 metres (98.4 ft) to 15 metres (49.2 ft);

  2. Reduction of the required side yard setback from 15 metres (49.2 ft) to 3 metres (9.8 ft);
    in order to permit the construction of a detached garage.

Location: Millennium Room, 88 Alma Street, Norwood, ON

This hearing is being held under Section 45 of the Planning Act. Members of the public are invited to attend and share their views. Written comments may also be submitted in advance to the Committee Secretary-Treasurer.

Please note:

  • If you do not attend, the hearing may proceed in your absence.

  • Recorded meetings will be posted on the Township’s YouTube channel as soon as possible after the hearing.

  • A copy of the Committee’s decision will be provided to the applicant and to anyone who participates in the hearing and requests notice in writing.
