Significant Weather Event Declaration Lifted · December 30, 2025

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood advises that the Significant Weather Event declared in response to recent severe weather conditions has now ended and the declaration has been lifted, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 239/02 – Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways.

With the lifting of the declaration, standard winter maintenance timelines are now back in effect.

The Township’s Public Works Department will continue to monitor conditions and carry out winter maintenance activities, including snow removal, as required. While road conditions continue to improve, residents are reminded that travel may still require caution.
