Revised Notice of Intention to Adopt an Updated Procedural By-law

The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood intends to adopt an updated Procedural By-law at its regularly scheduled meeting on December 9, 2025.

Proposed updates to the Procedural By-law were initially presented to Council on October 21, 2025, with additional revisions discussed at the November 10, 2025 Council meeting. All Council meetings are recorded and available for viewing on the Township of Asphodel-Norwood’s YouTube channel.

A draft by-law, with proposed changes highlighted in yellow, is attached below for public review. For ease of reference, the most notable proposed update is found in Section 4.2, which sets out that meetings of Council are to be held in the upper level of the Town Hall at 2357 County Road 45, Norwood, ON.

Written Submissions

Written submissions regarding the updated Procedural By-law may be provided to the Clerk on or before 4:30 p.m. on December 3, 2025. Please note:

• All submissions may be considered public and may form part of the public record of Council.

• Personal information collected in relation to this matter is gathered under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001 and will be used by members of Council and Township staff in their review.
