Notice of Public Meeting – Zoning By-law Amendment Application ZBLA-02-2025
Take notice that the Corporation of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood hereby considers an application to amend Zoning By-Law 2009-08 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, as described below in the purpose and effect, to be a Complete Application in accordance with Section 34(10.7) of the Planning Act. The application has been assigned file number ZBLA-02-2025.
Location
The lands are located at Concession 7, Part Lot 3 in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood and known as 1203 Asphodel 7th Line. A key map showing the lands to which this application applies is provided in the attached notice.
The purpose and effect of the Zoning By-Law Amendment is to zone five (5) proposed lots on the subject land from the Open Space (OS) Zone to Rural Residential (RR) Zone. There is no change to the zoning on the retained portion. The effect is to create five (5) rural residential lots.
Statutory Public Meeting Information
The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood will hold a Public Meeting under Section 34 of the Planning Act. You are invited to attend the Statutory Public Meeting to consider the proposed amendment. This meeting will take place on:

This public meeting allows for members of the public to attend the meeting and provide verbal and/or written submissions. We encourage you to communicate with Council by forwarding written comments in support of or opposition to the application to the Clerk at clerk@antownship.ca
Recorded meetings will be posted on the Township YouTube channel as soon as possible after the meeting for public viewing.
The Right to Appeal
If a specified person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Asphodel-Norwood before the by-law is passed, the specified person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
If a specified person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Asphodel-Norwood before the by-law is passed, the specified person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
If you wish to be notified of the decision for any application, you must make a written request to the clerk, of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood, at the address noted below and quote the appropriate file number ZBLA-02-2025.
Additional information relating to the proposed amendment is available for inspection at the Township office during regular office hours.
