“Fill the Net” – Hornets Give Back Food Drive · Dec 12–14, 2025

The Norwood Hornets are coming together to support local families and the Asphodel Norwood Food Bank Association during a time when community needs are especially great.

Over the three-day event, players, team staff, families, and community members are invited to donate non-perishable food items and help “FILL THE NET” with generosity and Hornets pride. Every can, box, and bag makes a meaningful difference.

Donation Details

Dates: December 12–14, 2025
Drop-Off Location: Asphodel Norwood Community Centre - lobby 
Most Needed Items:

• Canned vegetables
• Peanut Butter
• Canned Meat (salmon, ham, flaked chicken)
• Canned beans (kidney, chickpeas, baked beans)
• Chef Boyardee and other shelf-stable goods

In addition, the Asphodel Norwood Food Bank is accepting a couple of additional options to donate this holiday season.

• You can make a monetary donation that will sponsor a family. Donations can be made by sending an e-transfer to asphodelnorwoodfoodbank@gmail.com. Please include your address in the comment section to receive a tax receipt.
• Purchase a $20 Foodland Gift Card that can be shared with a family. Families will be receiving Foodland gift cards in $20 amounts. A drop box will be provided for gift cards
