Family Day 2026 - Event Schedule

Join us for a fun-filled Family Day 2026 celebration on Monday, February 16^th at the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre! Bring the whole family and enjoy free activities, skating, food, and entertainment throughout the day.

Event Schedule

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

• Township Cup (a fun, Township staff departmental 3-on-3 hockey tournament, played on half the ice with small nets)

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

• Foyer: Door prize ballots accepted

• Millennium Room: Enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities hosted by local organizations:

  • Asphodel-Norwood Public Library - Crafts and activities

  • EarlyON - Activities designed for younger children

  • Norwood and District Horticultural Society - Hands-on planting activity

  • Face Painting - Provided by student volunteers

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

• Free Public Skating
  Sponsored by Norwood United Church and the Norwood District Skating Club

10:00 a.m.

• Hot Chocolate & Mini Donuts (while supplies last)
  Donated by McDonald’s Norwood

10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

• Horse & Wagon Rides
  • Sign up at the event
  • Accessible option available
  • First ride departs at 10:30 a.m.
  • Thanks to the Norwood Agricultural Society for use of the track!

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

• Hot Dogs & Milk (while supplies last)
  Hot dogs served by the Norwood Lions Club
  Milk donated by the Ontario Milk Board

2:00 p.m.

A variety of door prizes from local vendors and organizations will be available throughout the event, including a Grand Prize valued at $200. Winners do not need to be present to claim their prizes.
