Just what does the township has to offer? Of course, location matters.

Asphodel-Norwood is located on one of Ontario's key transportation corridors:

  • Provincial Highway 7 which is a key part of the 8,030 km long Trans-Canada Highway, runs mid-way through the township;
  • The Canadian Pacific Railway parallels Highway 7 through the municipality;
  • The Trent-Severn Waterway links the local recreational boating community with Lake Superior on the west and the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Atlantic Ocean on the east; and
  • Our telecommunications infrastructure is in place and growing in capabilities to match tomorrow's needs.

The Township is committed to strengthening the local economy by supporting job creation, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting economic development to ensure regional growth and long-term sustainability.
