Municipal by-laws help to keep our Township a safe and enjoyable place to work and live. Online versions of the most commonly referred to by-laws can be found below. The Township's By-law Enforcement Officers work with residents and businesses to ensure they are meeting the requirements of a variety of by-laws. By-law Enforcement Officers will respond to inquiries and complaints and Enforce By-laws for the Municipality, as they see fit.

| The Cat By-law 2017-48 regulates, restricts and prohibits cats causing a nuisance or damage in the Township. |
| Clean and Clear By-law |
| The Clean and Clear By-law 2013-70 is intended is to keep all grounds, yard and vacant lots in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood looking clean and presentable for all residents and visitors.
As per the Clean and Clear by-law please keep all grass and weeds cut to no more than 8" in height and ensure that no litter, refuse or debris accumulates on your property. |
| Dangerous Animals By-law |
| The Dangerous Animal By-law 2017-46 regulates the keeping of Exotic Animals in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood. |
| Dog Control By-law |
| The Township has a by-law to provide for the regulating, restricting, licensing, prohibiting dogs running at large and for providing kennel operational guidelines for control of all dogs in the Township. Please refer to Dog Control By-law 2022-48 for more information. |
| Fence By-law |
| The Fence By-law 2018-55 is intended to regulate the height, location, character and construction of fences on Residential lots within the Township |
| Muzzle By-law |

The Muzzle by-law 2016-77 regulates the restraining and muzzling of a biting dog or potentially dangerous dog under any circumstances that is deemed a health or safety issue of the inhabitants of the Township. |
| Noise By-law |
| The Noise By-law 2020-50 provides standards for noise and applies to ALL properties within the Township. The intention of the by-law is to reduce the impact of unwanted sound on the residents of the Township. It prevents persons from making, causing, or permitting any noise, at any time which is likely to disturb the quiet, peace, rest, enjoyment comfort or convenience of the residents of the Township. |
| Parking By-law |

The Highway Traffic Act, RSO 1990 states that "no person shall park or leave standing a vehicle on a Highway or Roadway in such a manner as to interfere with the moving of traffic or the clearing of snow form the roadway". The Township reserves the right to tow any vehicle, at the owner's expense, which contravenes any of the provision of the Highway Traffic Act. On January 24, 2017 the Council of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood passed the Regulation of Parking By-Law 2017-05 (AMENDED), being a By-law for the regulation of traffic and parking on highways and roadways within the jurisdiction of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood; and amended Schedule C of the By-law most recently on July 13, 2020. Vehicles may be towed at your expense if found in contravention of the By-law. Seasonal Parking Restrictions:There shall be no street parking of vehicles of any kind, from October 15 - May 15 during the hours of 8:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., to facilitate snow removal. |

| The Parks and Facilities By-law 2019-49 (AMENDED) regulates and promotes responsible, shared use, and enjoyment of parks and related facilities in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood. |

| The Property Standards By-law 2010-01 prescribes standards for the maintenance and occupancy of all property within the municipality of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood. Council passes property related by-laws on safety, maintenance, beautification, livability, and sustainability to establish standards for all property owners to follow.
