Attention: Residents on Municipal Water
The Water and Wastewater Department is pleased to announce the successful completion of the first watermain tie-in at the west end of Margaret Street this past week. As a result, residences along Margaret Street are now receiving water from the newly installed watermain.
To minimize disruption and prevent a full water shutdown, the contractor installed a temporary bypass watermain along County Road 40. This temporary measure helped avoid any service interruptions for residents in the Norwood Park Subdivision (Phases 1, 2, and 3), as well as those on Margaret Street, Albine Street, and County Road 40 (north of Margaret Street and Albine Street).
Looking ahead, a second watermain tie-in is scheduled for the east end of Margaret Street on Monday, November 25, 2024. During this time, affected areas may experience reduced water pressure and flow; however, water service will remain active.
