Today · September 28 · marks Ontario's first ever Test Your Smoke Alarm Day - an effort to reduce the number of fatal fires in the province and the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs urges you to help spread the message.
Only working smoke alarms save lives and can ensure you are #SavedByTheBeep. In addition to testing your smoke detectors, remember to develop and test a home fire escape plan.
You can participate by snapping a photo of you or family members testing your smoke alarms and posting it to social media using the hashtag #SavedByTheBeep.
