Birdsall Line Road Closures for Ash Tree Removal starting the week of January 13, 2025

The Public Works Department is notifying residents and travellers that Birdsall Line will be closed starting the week of Monday, January 13, 2025, for the removal of ash trees affected by emerald ash borer. The road closure will occur daily as weather permits, and the project is expected to take over three weeks. However, the timeline may be extended if winter weather conditions affect the schedule.

Detour Information:
A detour route will be in place to redirect traffic around the closure, utilizing Asphodel 2^nd Line and River Road as alternate routes. Local traffic will still be permitted to access the area during working hours, but all other vehicles should follow the posted detour signs.

The Public Works Department appreciates your cooperation and patience during this necessary operation to mitigate the spread of emerald ash borer and apologizes for any inconvenience.
