At the regular Council Meeting on March 11, 2025, the Township of Asphodel-Norwood adopted a Sandbag Policy to govern the responsibilities of municipal departments during flooding events within the Township.
This policy outlines how municipal staff will respond to flooding incidents in the Township, as well as establishing clear procedures for the Township, residents, property owners, and business owners in both emergency and non-emergency situations. It also details the costs associated with providing sandbags and related services for Township assistance in non-emergencies.
Please note: The Sandbag Policy pertains to the responsibilities of municipal departments during flooding events but does not apply in the case of a declared emergency.
