Norwood Medical Centre Welcomes Dr. Ryan Hutcheson
The Township of Asphodel-Norwood is pleased to announce that Dr. Ryan Hutcheson will begin his Family Practice at the Norwood Medical Centre on December 1, 2024. Dr. Hutcheson is excited to join the community and continue the work of providing quality healthcare to local residents.

I have already had the opportunity to meet many of you over the last several months and look forward to getting to know you better as well as growing my roster with the many unattached patients in the community in the coming months.

Transition of Patients from Dr. Ford and Dr. Cormier's Practice
As previously communicated by Dr. Ford and Dr. Cormier, approximately 650 patients from their roster will be transferred to Dr. Hutcheson’s care as of December 1st. The transition will occur through random selection, with careful consideration given to keeping families together. If you are one of the 650 patients being transferred, you will receive separate communication with further details via e-mail. New Ministry of Health roster forms will need to be completed to finalize the transfer of care. These forms will be available at the Asphodel-Norwood Medical Centre.
Rostering of New Patients
Starting in December, staff will begin reaching out to individuals on the Township’s waiting list for family doctors. Please note, it will take time to work through the list. Patients will be contacted by Township staff to explain the process, and an initial appointment can be scheduled (if needed) once all required onboarding paperwork is completed.
Reminder Regarding Waitlist Inquiries
The Medical Centre and Township staff kindly ask that community members refrain from calling the clinic or Township office with inquiries about the waitlist. These calls create a significant burden on staff and can make it more difficult to assist patients who are seeking medical care. Rest assured, you will be contacted directly when it is your turn to be rostered.
