[Asphodel-Norwood, ON] – On Saturday, May 11, 2024 the Township celebrated the opening of the new Asphodel-Norwood Medical Centre with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This event marks a significant milestone for the entire community, symbolizing the culmination of our combined efforts and shared aspirations to improve healthcare accessibility. It reflects our responsiveness to the voices of our residents, who have consistently highlighted the importance of sustainable family healthcare for our future.

Embarking on this exciting journey, members of Council extended thanks to our many sponsors, whose generous support played a pivotal role in bringing this project to fruition.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the comprehensive range of medical services offered, including audiology, physiotherapy, foot care, and a diabetic clinic. The Norwood Lions Club generously served a BBQ with light refreshments, fostering opportunities for networking and community engagement.
