Please refer to the Parks and Facilities By-law (AMENDED) for a list of permitted activities (including rentals) along with the rules and regulations that govern use of Township parks and related facilities. In 2022, the Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Department commenced its second five-year Parks & Playground Plan to maintain and enhance the park and playground spaces around the Township to ensure sustainability and continued enjoyment by all residents.

Description: Asphodel Park is a real jewel in the township. With the Ouse river going through the corner of the park it makes for an idyllic setting to relax, have a picnic, catch up on your reading, perhaps try your luck at fishing or just let the kids explore and play. Description: If you are seeking activities and fitness for all ages then the Community Centre Park located by the Arena and the Fair Grounds is where you will want to be. Book a date, reserve a time, everything you need is right here. On a journey and need a place to park your trailer for the night before your next day of travel, then stop at the Community Centre Park area as hydro and water hookups are available to you right next to the park. Note: Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit does regular testing of beaches in Northumberland County, Haliburton County, and the City of Kawartha Lakes to ensure they are safe for swimming. Visit the HKPR District Health Unit website to view test results between the months of June and August. Note: Peterborough Public Health maintains a routine surveillance program for public beaches during summer months to ensure that the water quality is safe for swimming.
