[Asphodel-Norwood] - The Township of Asphodel-Norwood has declared a State of Emergency following the severe ice storm that impacted the region this past weekend.
The storm has caused widespread power outages, communication disruptions, and unsafe conditions, as ice accumulation continues to bring down power lines, trees, and tree limbs.

Please be advised that the Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning for Peterborough City - Lakefield - Southern Peterborough County; and due to the major ice storm expected this weekend, the Township has decided to close its Transfer Station for operational safety.

TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood has adopted Speed Reduction By-law No. 2025-17 at its regular meeting held on March 25, 2025.
A copy of By-law No. 2025-17 is available upon request at the Municipal Office, or by contacting 705-639-5343 or clerk@antownship.ca.
Effective immediately, a maximum speed limit of 30 km/h is applicable on the following roadways in the Village of Norwood:
