The current burn hazard index for the Township of Asphodel-Norwood is set to MEDIUM.

As always, please use caution when burning and take precautions to prevent the spread of fire.

FoodCycler Pilot Program

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood has partnered with Ottawa based Food Cycle Science to provide 100 highly subsidized FoodCycler™ units to residents for a 12-week pilot project!

There are two options available to chose from, based on food waste volumes:

• a 2.5L unit ($150.00 + HST); and
• a 5.0L unit ($300.00 + HST).

Participants are asked to track usage for 12 weeks and complete a brief exit survey about their experience with the unit/program. 

The pilot program starts in June, 2023.

NEW Adopt a Road Program

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood is pleased to announce the launch of its Adopt a Road Program!

This program is an opportunity for businesses, service groups, and other groups/organizations to contribute to the Asphodel-Norwood community, clean up the environment, and help beautify our Township roads system.
