Notice of Intention to Adopt an updated Procedural By-law on September 10, 2024

The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood intends to adopt an updated Procedural By-law at its next regularly scheduled meeting on September 10, 2024.

The proposed By-law, which was presented to Council on August 27, 2024, is available for review as an attachment below. You can also view the meeting recording on the Township of Asphodel-Norwood’s YouTube channel.

Call for Nominations: 2024 Community Recognition Award

The Community Recognition Award, sponsored by the late Jack and Marguerite Stewart, is presented annually to an individual or group from the Township of Asphodel-Norwood who has made a significant contribution to the community and which has had a positive effect on their fellow citizens or brought honour to the community through their achievements.

CORRECTION: Centre Line in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood will be closed tomorrow Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from County Road 45 to Asphodel 10th Line between 7:00 - 10:00 pm for practice tanker shuttle testing conducted by the Asphodel-Norwood Fire and Rescue Department.

Notice of Waste Collection Audit

Please be advised that Cambium Inc. will be collecting curbside waste in some areas of the Township during the following weeks to conduct waste audits:

• August 19 - 23, 2024; and
• August 26 - 30, 2024. 

This work is part of the Waste Management Master Plan update that Cambium is completing for the County of Peterborough. Cambium and the County of Peterborough will be coordinating direction with the waste hauler to minimize disruption to regular collection routes.
