Notice of Adoption: Volunteer Policy

At the regular Council Meeting on February 25, 2025, the Township of Asphodel-Norwood adopted a Volunteer Policy to guide the engagement and recognition of volunteers within the municipality.
This policy aims to formalize the process for volunteer involvement, ensuring consistency, fairness, and transparency.

Significant Weather Event Lifted: February 21, 2025

As the severe weather event has ended, please be advised that the Township of Asphodel-Norwood has lifted the significant weather event declaration as per the Minimum Maintenance Standards regulation 239/02. The minimum maintenance standard timelines will now be in effect.
The Township’s Public Works Department will continue to address and monitor road conditions. Please be advised that the safety of the roads is the Township’s first priority and snow removal activities will commence soon.

The Asphodel-Norwood Business Advisory Committee is thrilled to announce the launch of the pilot Norwood Market this summer! We are currently seeking vendors to be part of this exciting new market experience.
The market will be hosted on four Saturdays throughout the summer, coinciding with each long weekend:

We are pleased to share that the RBC Royal Bank Norwood Branch has officially reopened, effective today, February 11, 2025 following a temporary closure due to a small fire that occurred over the holidays. The branch is now fully operational and ready to serve its customers.
