Garbage Collection Update: January 13, 2023

Due to current weather conditions, curbside garbage collection for the Township of Asphodel-Norwood may be delayed or not possible today, Friday January 13, 2023.
Waste Connections of Canada drivers have been advised to collect what they can safely.
As always, any roads not collected today will be allowed double collection next week, Friday January 20, 2023. If your garbage is not collected by day-end, please remove it from the curbside/roadside.

The Council of the Township of Asphodel-Norwood will consider the followingdraft 2023 budgetpresentations at its regular meeting TuesdayJanuary 10, 2023:
- Municipal Operating and Capital Budget presentation(417 KB);
- Norwood Water and Sewer Budget presentation (764 KB); and the
- Trentview Estates Distribution System Budget presentation(667 KB).

Significant Weather Event · Declaration Lifted December 26, 2022

As the severe weather event has ended, please be advised that the Township of Asphodel-Norwood has lifted the significant weather event declaration as per the Minimum Maintenance Standards regulation 239/02. The minimum maintenance standard timelines will now be in effect.

Snow Removal Update: December 24, 2022

Public Works crews have been working tirelessly to address road conditions; but due to the heavy snow drifts, it is taking longer than usual to complete regular routes.
Please be patient, and remember winter parking restrictions are in effect.
No overnight parking is permitted on Township roadways between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Stay home if at all possible, but if travel is necessary - please use extreme caution and to utilize Ontario 511 to check road conditions.
