The municipal office for the Township of Asphodel-Norwood will be closed Monday May 23, 2022 in observation of Victoria Day, reopening Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 8:30 a.m.
- No changes in curbside garbage nor recycling collection on Victoria Day; and
- No changes in hours of operation at the Transfer Station.
Both library branches will be closed May 23, 2022; and Stories & More with Ms. Trish will resume Monday May 30, 2022.

Please be advised the Township of Asphodel-Norwood will start gravel crushing, hauling, and spreading this week. The process takes approximately a week in total and efforts will be made to mitigate dusty conditions.
The following roads will have new gravel applied:
- Asphodel 3rd Line between Hwy 7 and Dummer/Asphodel Boundary;
- Asphodel 5th Line from Hwy 7 to dead end;
- Asphodel 5th Line South from River Rd to dead end;

The Asphodel-Norwood Public Library is looking for a responsible and dedicated summer student to take on the role of a Summer Program Assistant.
This is a part-time contract position for up to four (4) months.
The successful applicant will work approximately 4 to 8 hours per week and can expect to earn $15.00 per hour.

Over the next 4-6 weeks, the Public Works Department will be starting the application of Calcium Chloride in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood for dust control.
Annually, approx. 12 tanker loads of Calcium Chloride are applied to the gravel roads in an effort to help reduce the dust.
If you meet the Calcium Chloride truck on the road, please be patient as the tanker travels at an average speed of 15 km/hr when spraying the road. The tanker will pull over when it is safe to do so and allow you to pass...
