Please be advised watermain upgrades and street reconstruction on Margaret Street will begin on Monday, October 7, 2024.
The contractor estimates that the project will take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete. During this time, local traffic will still have access to the area.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our community infrastructure.

The Township of Asphodel-Norwood is excited to announce that we are seeking volunteer applications for the following Council-appointed Committees for the 2025-2026 term:
- Business Advisory Committee
- Cultural & Heritage Committee
- Special Events Committee
Additionally, we are seeking applications for one (1) Asphodel-Norwood Public Library Board member
We encourage community members to apply and contribute their skills and ideas to these important committees.

[Asphodel-Norwood, ON] – The Township of Asphodel-Norwood is excited to announce the upcoming arrival of Dr. Ryan Hutcheson and Dr. Jaimee Carter at the Asphodel-Norwood Medical Centre, enhancing healthcare services for our community.
Dr. Ryan Hutcheson will join the Medical Centre this Fall. A Cobourg native with a diverse background, Dr. Hutcheson is dedicated to family medicine and will begin rostering new patients shortly.

Transfer Station returns to Regular Hours: October 1, 2024

Asphodel-Norwood, ON – Friendly reminder to residents that the Asphodel-Norwood Transfer Station has returned to its regular operating hours as of October 1st. With the conclusion of summer hours, opening hours are as follows:
- Mondays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Please note that summer hours will resume in May 2025.

Splash Pad Closure Announcement

Please be advised that the splash pad at the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre is officially closed for the 2024 season.
As we transition into the cooler months, preparations will begin shortly to winterize the facility. We appreciate everyone who visited and made this summer memorable, and we look forward to welcoming you back next season!
