Blue Box Recycling Transition to Producer Responsibility

Effective January 1, 2024, responsibility for blue box recycling collection and processing will transition from Peterborough County to producers of packaging and paper products.
Producer Responsibility means producers (the companies that design, create, and market products and packaging) are fully responsible for managing and paying for the life cycle of their products and packaging.
With this transition, Peterborough County will no longer be managing the blue box recycling program.

Light up the Township is back; and we are so excited to see Asphodel-Norwood light up for the holidays!
To participate, simply decorate your home with lights and register with us before December 6, 2023.

The Township Tour Map will be released Friday December 15, 2023 for you to enjoy the over the weekend of December 15-17, 2023.
