As the severe weather event has ended, please be advised that the Township of Asphodel-Norwood has lifted the significant weather event declaration as per the Minimum Maintenance Standards regulation 239/02. The minimum maintenance standard timelines will now be in effect.
The Township’s Public Works Department will continue to address and monitor road conditions. Please be advised that the safety of the roads is the Township’s first priority and snow removal activities will commence soon.

Notice of Road Closure : County Rd 45 · January 16, 2024

Please be advised snow removal operations will take place Tuesday January 16, 2024 between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. for the following locations:
- County Road 45 will be CLOSED between Hwy 7 and Alma St. Detours will be set up.; and
- Highway 7 between County Road 45 and Victoria St will have flagging operations and lane restrictions in place.

Due to the severe winter conditions predicted to commence the evening of Friday January 12, 2024, the Township of Asphodel-Norwood is declaring a Significant Weather Event (SWE), as per Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 366/18 section 16.9; which amended to O. Reg. 239/02.
